One mouse a week is plenty for a boa. In fact if your feeding rats 3 times a month is enough. And make sure that the meals are small enough to not leave a visible lump. Boa have a much slower metabolism then pythons and over feeding will cause them to be obese and grow in to unhealthy pin headed adults.

Boas should NOT be fed the same way balls are. Every 5 days is too much. As mentioned, they have a slower metabolism. Your boa will do fine on a 10 day feeding schedule. You also do not want the rodent to leave a visible lump.
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

X2. 10 days is more than enough for a boa. Boas are not meant to be really thick snakes. Most people over feed and make them obese.

+1 to what everyone else said. Bci's aren't like balls - they WILL eat themselves sick, and I swear mine begs. BCI's should have a nice, square body shape. If they are round like a ball python or king/corn snake they are obese.

I do 7-10 days for babies, 10 days for sub adults, and 14 days for adults and mice up until the boa's first birthday.

I also did 7-10 days for mine when she was a baby. I've seen way too many fat boas. It's so easy to overfeed them.

Well I learned something today. Up until this moment, I was feeding my baby every 5-7 days. Oops.

    What everyone else said!! lol...

7-10 days for babies (up to 12 months), 10-14 days for juveniles (12-18 months), and 14-21 days for adults (18+ months). And I also keep them on mice until they are big enough to eat large adults. Only then do I switch to rats.

Frankly, I wouldn't advise listening to anything Petco or Petsmart has to say about reptile care. They don't know squat.
