Basking After Feeding
My BCI fed last night and for some reason is on the "cool" end of his tank which is at 78 degrees. His "hot" side is at 88-89 under his hide. I'm not in a panic or anything but do y'all think he'll still digest OK like that? We fed our little pin as well and she is under her "hot" side hide as she should be. Thanks in advance.

Re: Basking After Feeding
Sounds like basic thermoregulation, my boas will stay on the cool side after eating usually though...only venturing to the basking spot later in the night.

Yeah he will be fine, your tank still has a warm spot anyway,so he will be good.
my guys never go to the cool side after they eat. Always warm hide.my one guy does alternate hide here and there and my other only uses his warm hide

So the bottom line is that I provide them the environment they need and let them do their own thing. Pretty much it?

That's the idea.

Kinda what I was thinking. They've both been doing very well and I should let them be but I still "worry" sometimes. My fiancee is worse than me. I'm constantly telling her, "it's ok baby. They're perfectly fine"

I've never had a snake, or two, as a pet. It's all new to me and I fell in love with them.
