Chose My JCP ("Which One For Me?" Update)

I've been busy these last few weeks, but thought I'd give an update for everyone who was following my "Which One For Me?" thread It probably will not come as a surprise to anyone that I've chosen to get a Jungle Carpet Python!! I don't have him yet, but will have been e-mailing with the breeder and got to speak with him over the phone yesterday. Great guy, incredibly helpful and patient with me, and I feel great about buying from him.

This is the baby I picked, with the help of the breeder and 3skulls/Rich (who is amazing for answering my questions and being such a great help - thanks, Rich!!). Photos are all courtesy of the breeder, Nick Mutton at Inland Reptile.

An older picture of him as an even younger baby

His father is a CVR Zebra and his mother is a Leary female. I'm looking for a more high contrast, bright and cleanly colored snake, and this seemed to be the best clutch for what I'm looking for. The family tree, for those interested -

I'm incredibly excited! The breeder is a very cool guy who's been wonderful to talk to and went out of his way to answer my questions, whether it was about JCPs in general or a few of the available babies in particular. Also, a million thanks to 3skulls and everyone from my original thread, who answered my questions and shared their experiences with me!

Pick up date is at an expo on January 18th. Now to make a list of supplies!

Thank you! I'm definitely hoping so. He already looks awfully nice, so it'll be fun seeing how he'll turn out.

Nick is fantastic - I had about a million and one questions (most of them very silly) but he was patient and always quick to respond. Went out of his way to take updated pictures and check on their temperament for me, and I had a nice chat with him over the phone. He's a cool guy to talk to and I'm very excited to pick this baby up from him! Definite two thumbs up.

Me too, one day It really was a matter of me finding out about Inland Reptile first... if I'd known about Rich's snakes first I'd have signed up for his next JCP clutch, no hesitation.

Thanks Alicia! I noticed the same, too. My roommate calls it a "cat face" because it looks like a :3 emoticon LOL
