Guyana Red Tail Pick Ups

I was wondering if anyone could identify what morphs this new pair of "Guyana" red tails are? I already own one salmon female that's 5 ft but I no idea about any other RTB morphs.

BCCs do not come in morphs (besides maybe few rare occurring specimens but I don't personally know of any off hand). I've seen BCI x BCC cross morphs due to the BCI side but in that case they aren't pure BCC. Your guys look like nice regular BCC red tails if they're pure, congrats!

That first guy has a really neat abberancy. They don't look like Crosses and I would be happy. The Crosses remove most of what's special about the bcc's. And the person above is correct, they don't have different morph Guyanas. Be careful with them. If the food is to big they can have regurge issues. Always feed on the smaller side if in doubt

I think you're the first person I have ever heard say "just regular BCCs" lol! BCC are just so beautiful. Sometimes you see people selling BCC morphs, but they are almost always crosses (with BCI). I have heard about pure BCC albinos, haven't really looked into them, but they aren't common, and I've never actually seen a confirmed one myself (not saying they aren't out there though)

Yes, they are just "regular" BCC. I agree completely with Daybreaker. Guyanans are BCC and there are no known morphs among pure Guyanans. There are some albino Surinams, but those were originally crossed with BCI so even they aren't 100% pure.

BUT you should be proud to have 100% pure Guyanans! These snakes are highly prized - especially with the nice aberrancies in pattern that your male shows. They should throw some nice offspring.

I would pay attention to that previous advice about feeding though and they are less forgiving of husbandry errors than BCI are. Feed smaller prey less often and keep a careful eye on temps and humidity.

Very sound advice and insight. I would never look to cross any BCC. I am personally a locality guy but can appreciate and admire some of the beautiful BCI morphs out there.

Take extra care as mentioned with the feeding and husbandry. If you slow grow those BCC's, Guyana boas have the potential to be some of the largest boas around. Peruvian, Guyana, Suri and Argentine boas become very large if raised properly.

Guyanese boas have a tendency to throw aberrant babies but to this date it has not proven to breed out reliably but still two stunners there!

Well I'm glad to know I have two pure blood lines then thanks for all the advice. I think I'm not gunna let him have a go with my salmon boa and just reserve him for the Guyana female to just keep a pure line of sorts I'm gunna need to find another Guyana male for a holdback female if these two successfully breed in the future. They definitely still have a year before they can go I'm sure the male is ready but not the female so.. next season. (or should I let him go ahead and go with the salmon female I have?)
