Water Temp?

I always check temps hot side, cool side, snake temp, and water bowl temp......but is there a ideal water temp?

Not really, but the cooler it is the slower bacteria will grow in it.

What are you using to measure the water temp?

I've been using a temp gun from zoo med's. The water is usually between (74-78) overnight about (70). Thought they might get stun/shock if they dip in cold/cooler water

Why are you checking the water temp? There's really no need for that at all unless you're doing it for :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r:s and giggles.

Temp guns don't work on water. You might be getting wrong readings or if you are lucky the temp gun is measuring the surface temp of the water dish itself. You really don't need to worry about the water temp as long as it isn't too hot. If it is on the cooler side and the snake gets in it (which in most cases with BP's will be rare) the snake can always warm back up on the hot side of the cage.
