Female acting hungry all the sudden!!

Hey guys been a while since I posted, anyways I have a 1100 gram lesser female that is a fairly consistent eater but is kind of picky sometimes. The past week she has been crushing rats! I'm feeding her small rats every 5 days but the past four days every time I go to the rack she bolts to the front acting like she is starving! Should I just feed her while she wants to eat? Is it because she is starting to become sexually mature and it's getting that time of year so she wants to eat a lot? Not sure what to do? Thanks

She might be wanting to gain weight to breed. If you have plans on breeding her you should feed her twice a week but if she still looks hungry try giving her an extra one and she should be up to weight in a few months

Offer a second on your feeding day, if she takes it let her go. You got past the 1k wall and she wants to eat, congrats.

Hey, be thankful she wants to eat. My female is at 956g right now and just decided to eat only half of her usual meal (I feed her a med and a large mouse). When I tried feeding her the large mouse, she wouldn't have it.
