My bp garfield never strikes his food. He rather me hold it for him till he gently grabs it out of my gand and take it to his hide to eat. Anyone elses bp do this or is mine a weirdo. Lol

Two of my females used to do that. Now one only eats live and the other needs me to leave her food in over night My Yellowbelly male also does that most times.. Depends how hungry he is

It just striked me at odd. No pun intended. Never had a snake that did that. Lol

I have a couple. It's really common with snakes that are fed f/t. After awhile of feeding f/t a lot of them will calm down and possibly get to the point your snake is at.

My new spider male won't strike at all. It is like he knows his wobble means a missed strike so he waits for the food to be half an inch from his nose, then he gently accepts it.

To be honest its pretty cool he does it. More of a trust thing between snake and owner. On the other hand my other is a pig and as soon as he sees it he strikes. Lol
