small, low-cost heaters

I know some people use small portable space heaters for their rooms or for a specific area of a room. I was wondering if people could give me suggestions for what I could use that won't run the electricity bill too high. My room is about 75 but I would like to warm it up a few degrees.

I'd think u wouldn't want to warm it up too much,may suck the humidity right out of the air

Home Depot has a smaico baseboard heater for $45 and it works great and you can set the temp on it

Are you looking for low cost to run or just low cost to buy?
There are what amount to RHP's for homes, oil-filled, ni-chrome, quartz or ceramic etc. If it incorporates a fan this fans efficiency also affects the cost of running the unit.

I use a Delonghi oil filled heater for a 10 x 11 room and it's works great and it's super efficient.

X2 on the oil filled heater. Mine is a digital Pelonis that I got at Home Depot for around $60.

Also if you are trying to heat just a room,like I said above will prob dry out your tank and humidity will decrease...maybe if u invest in a portable heater,invest in a humidifier as well to leave right near the enclosure...hopefully that should level things out

Sorry for the not-so-snappy response!

As far as cost goes, I mean things that won't run the electricity bill too high. as I said, my bedroom is at about 75 degrees and a UTH is not adequate as far as heating the enclosure goes. I used to heat my entire room but it makes sleeping uncomfortable when it's 80-82 degrees.

So I was wondering if anyone knew of small heaters that I could use to heat a small portion of the room without the temperatures running too high or the electricity bill going up too high.

I know my dad used to have one that he used but he can't remember the name.

Also, the snakes are housed in AP T8 enclosures. They're kept in the bedroom with me to avoid family from messing with them.
