    Bleeding

I've seen posts before about the female rubbing a bit of blood onto the substrate, but how much is enough to start worrying?

I noticed a bit earlier today and I just checked and there's even more. I tried to examine her to see how bad it was but she's super squirmy and sensitive about it.

    Re: Bleeding

    Hi,

If there is a male in with her he could be leaving trails as well - are they two smears side by side?

Is she shedding or just finished?

Can you get some pictures or tell us roughly how much blood you are seeing?

Thanks for the reply. There is a male in with her now, I'm guessing that's why she's doing all the rubbing

It's not from a recent shed, her last shed was 2 weeks ago.

Here's some pictures from what has been left in the last few hours. There was more earlier but I did a clean.

Here are the 2 biggest areas, there are some smaller dabs here and there as well

and here's the vent, still some blood as you can see but not sure the extent of damage to the organs

looks like breeding activity to me. Would not worry about that small amount.

Yeah, looks like breeding/marking stuff to me.
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.
