    "Wobble"?

So, can anyone give me more info on "wobble" in spider morphs? How common? Contagious? Neurological? Does it go away? A guy I trust very much told me it's common and nothing to worry about, and just wanted some second opinions.

Every single snake that has the spider gene has the wobble. They each vary in degree. One can be almost unnoticeable, another could be a cork crewing train wreck. It is genetic and neurological. Some wobbles can become less noticeable with time and other wobbles can get worse with time.

As long as it's not a severe case(which don't often survive past hatchling-hood), the majority of spider wobbles are no big deal. They can eat, poop, breed, do normal snake stuff as any other morph. Most thrive and live quality lives.

Every Spider morph specimen has it, although in varying degrees-- You may have two clutchmates, one who only wobbles very slightly when feeding, and another who corkscrews at the slightest provocation.

It is not contagious, as long as it's not caused by something like IBD. You may also find it in specimens whose heat has been too high for an extended period of time, causing damage to the motor center in the brain.

Spiders often live out perfectly healthy, long lives even with a moderate to severe wobble, although some breeders disagree with the ethics of breeding an animal with a neurological issue and refuse to work with Spiders for that reason. Personally, I find it an endearing trait, as long as it doesn't really effect the animals' quality of life (ie unable to successfully strike and coil, or obvious stress and frustration while moving, etc).

(EDIT: Wow Nikki, way to steal everything I just said )
