My friend named her ball python Poveglia, after the Italian plague island. Intriguing name, and mildly humorous since she's been quarantined in the opposite side of my house for nearly three weeks. She's been all cleaned up after less-than-lackluster husbandry, and hasn't shown any signs of being ill or (thank goodness) having mites. She's eaten three times for me now (two small meals and one normal-sized meal), and is empty and ready to eat again tomorrow. She weighed 679g as of yesterday (after, um...clearing out), which means she's gained nearly 80g since she's been with me. Aaand then we took our weekly bath. xD
Anyway, we came out to have some nice pictures today. ((Please excuse my crap-quality pictures. I have a pathetic point-and-shoot that takes forever to take a single picture, so it of course misses all of the good shots. xP Also, it doesn't do color...or size, so sorry if there is page-stretching. x.x))
Exploring~
Here you can see our eyes still have to unshed eyecaps stuck to them...but hoping that comes off cleanly when she sheds. You can also see her neck's "dark spot", as well as the one random dull scale on her head...that I'm guessing is a rubbed scale? But she has a discolored scale on her tail, too.
She has a nice, pretty white belly and granite-y sides, which are probably just considered dirty to most people. xD Overall, an interesting normal with a curious and cuddly personality. :3
