Announcing Isabelle, my first morph! (Wall of text warning, lol)

Well, I am finally feeling like this is real enough to share, so here goes-- I am officially getting my first morph in about 2 weeks and I couldn't be happier with her!

Isabelle is a whopping 70g of stunning 0.1 Pastel. Stay tuned for a Good Guy review of her breeder and some fabulous photos by BHReptiles!

I've been in correspondence with Breanna at BHReptiles for several months now, shooting the wind and talking prospects for a potential buy. Her two clutches hatched out within a week of each other in early October, one made of Black Pastels and normals, the other a survivor clutch of two viable eggs. Breanna sent me photos of all available Black Pastel females after their first shed at my request, then tacked on a photo of the available baby girl from Clutch #2, and it was love at first sight.

This was her pre-shed photo, and even with her egg-skin still on, my jaw dropped. Keep in mind, Pastels have never been a particular favorite of mine as far as single-gene animals go. But as I fought with myself about where this female could fit into my breeding plans, I realized that every combo I want to go for in fact has Pastel in it. So it feels sort of meant to be, lol!

Here are the post-shed photos Breanna was kind enough to send me after I voiced my intense interest:

Breanna has really been as helpful and patient as humanly possible through the process of putting my deposit down. She's kept me up to date on the hatchling's weight and feeding response, and bore with me as I waded through some tedious go-arounds with my bank to secure the deposit. Now I'm about 2 weeks from officially having Isabelle in my hands!!

I am just too excited, it feels like Christmas came early for me this year!!
