So a week ago I bought an "albino" as my first ball python. I have been owning a hognose for a couple months and thought it was time to upgrade. Unfortunately I haven't any pictures of her, Annabel (the bp) because she is still fairly young, July, and every time I take her out she tries to strike at me. Of course, just like any first time snake owner, I'm afraid of being bitten. Any way, she just recently shed and I'm seeing this super bright white outline around the yellow patches which, from a few google searches, is indicative of Toffino. I don't want to ask the breeder because I see that Toffinos are much more expensive than Albino and I don't want to make him feel bad that he sold me a snake that was way under priced and I haven't the money to make it up to him if it is really a Toffino. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow thought and post it just to be sure. The breeder I got it from was selling 2 Toffinos and I got the only "Albino".
So how can I tell the difference between a Toffino and an Albino? Is that white line a determining factor?
