    3rd ball python,maybe.

I'm not sure about this..I bought my first BP on Sept8 ,my second oct13.,both males... ( knock on wood) both are doing great. But I'm debating a 3rd,but not sure yet. Don't know if I should but I kind of want one of a Mojave, Lesser or Pied, another male? I have to consider options and just if I should and do I really have the time for 3. But point is who do people recommend to buy from. Good proven breeders with good reps and quality BPs with good prices.

If you're doubting yourself I'd hold off for a bit and enjoy the two you have now. You'll always be able to find a mojo, lesser, and pied.

I'd look into some sellers here on BP.net (many good people) and if looking at kingsnake or Fauna always check references. I've successfully bought from Boas and Balls (Lynn), Dan Solis, Mike Schofield, Lee Ingle, David Bellis, Boamaster (they have balls too), Snake Eyes Exotics, and JGB Reptiles just to name a few. Currently paying off a little girl from Conley Herps and so far they've been great too.

You make a payment plan on a snake, say it's $3,000 you make a deal to pay x amount and have it paid off on a date. Once paid they ship you the snake.

A lot of breeders with websites, royalconstrictordesigns.com for example, offer PayPal and installments as payment methods. As you probably know some nicer BP morphs can cost anywhere from 2-5,000 or more. In addition to PayPal, many breeders will allow you to put money down and work out a reasonable payment plan with them. Typically they ask for $250 down, from what I have seen

Maybe you could see what free time you have here and there in the next few days/week and see if you'd have the extra time to dedicate to a third animal. Good thing about most snakes in general is that they're easy keepers and don't mind being left alone more-so than a dog or cat.

I prefer to not do time payments but this purchase is my largest so far and they've (Conley Herps) have been more than accommodating. Each seller will have their own terms in regards to time payments (a certain time frame to pay off the animal/s, a certain deposit needed down, payments due at certain dates or due by the end of a set date, most payments will be non refundable with sellers, etc). I appreciate those sellers who are willing to work with a customer who is obviously serious about purchasing one of their animal(s).

Oh so u have to pay off in full before it's shipped? I would have figured they had some method where they just take the money out monthly, have a contract if some sort,lol,idk...pretty cool though. Not that I'm interested in financing a snake,lol...but still pretty neat.

Spot cleaning is easy enough...they are quiet easy to take care of to be honest.. I can easily find time.. Clean two tanks one weekend and one tank the following. So it really isn't a problem,I just feel in my head 3 is a lot...but realistically it's not.

yeah I'd never pay more than prob$600 for a snake unless I was to be breeding, that's me personally.. Good thing is most the snakes I like are available for $100-$200 besides the Pieds

Sounds like your just trying to convince us your ready for one. It's up to you if you have the means then get one. Our opinions shouldn't matter

    Re: 3rd ball python,maybe.

To tell you honestly, I just bought my 3rd one a little while ago and it feels the same as owning two.

It's definitely up to you whether you want another one or not. Owning BPs is definitely a long term commitment.

Personally, I'm looking to pick up my 4th one in about 6 months so that way I have two females and two males. I really want either a Pied or a 100% Het Pied so I can breed him with my Pastave Het Pied female.
0.1 Reg. BP Het. Albino (Faye),
    1.0 Albino BP (Henry),
0.1 Pastave BP Het. Pied (Kira)
    1.0 Pied BP (Sam)
    1.0 Bumble Bee BP (Izzy)
