Ball python that refuses to eat HELP !!!!!

Hi guys I have a bp that just point blank refuses to eat she hatched on the 10th august 2013 and i've weighed her tonight and she only weighs 97g

she's in a 3 ft wood viv with a hide either end and is heated by a 17x12 heat mat controlled by a stat she is always out and about so she's active

I just cant get her to eat i've tried mice and rats and she's only ever eaten twice whilst i've had her one mouse and one rat she recently shed so I first thought it was that.

she shows interest nudges with her nose and even picked her prey up but she drops it and wonders off.

I have a corn snake that eats like a monster in a identical set up so i'm pretty sure its not the set up.

How long have you had her for? What was she eating before you got her? Live?

It sounds like you're trying to feed her FT. Have you tried feeding her live?

Also, just for the sake of being complete, what are the temps and humidity levels in her enclosure?

After we get the answers to those it'll be easier to give some pointers

Your problem is husbandry related, small insecure snake will tend not to eat.

Here is what I would do

Move your BP to a 6 quarts tub - 15 quarts at the very most
Offer 1 or 2 hides (depending on the size of the tub) use 6 inches plastic plot saucers
Use aspen bedding
Provide a hot spot of 88 degrees (measure with a digital thermometer) and a cold spot of 76/78 degrees
Move your BP and wait a week before offering a live small mouse.

In the mean time not handling until your BP is a consistent feeder.

heat mat temp is 35 c with an air temp of 25 c and humidity is 65%.

I'm feeding her frozen small mice and frozen rat pups she was been fed on small mice.

I've had her since the 30th sept and she's only fed twice in that time once 2 days after i got her then about a week and a half after that

I do have a 16x10 terrainium that my corn moved out of that she could go in to

Ok temps are a bit off... 95 is too high and that's probably why he's always out all the time. Temps should be 88-90 hot spot 78-80 cold side.
Clutter up the enclosure with more hides, crumbled newspaper, fake plants if you wish.... it will give her more security.
Fix up those issues and I bet she'll eat.
Was she eating f/t before you got her?

This is an unsecure 97 grams BP in an enclosure made for a full grown adult again consider the 6 or 15 quarts tub.

Cluttering such a large enclosure will not likely work, a confine space for an animal that size is definitely needed.

I gotcha, I guess my fingers were going faster than my brain because I wanted to add that I would move him to the smaller enclosure that he noted. I gave my suggestions based on that, not the 3 ft viv.

I agree,advice should be given by the pros in this case and cluttering up a huge tank does nothing but clutters it,doesn't make it smaller,again,common sense...sounds like a smaller enclosure is best bet.
