rack size?
We currently have 7 bp's and plan on getting more. Currently some are in T10's from animal plastics and other in dragons4you 3' cages. I am wanting to eventually put them into a rack but my gf is reluctant cause she likes them to have lots of space. What is a good size rack that we can put them in that will satisfy her needs?

All 10 of mine are in these: http://www.reptilebasics.com/iris-cb-70-rack
Ranging from a 100g orange dream female to two 1600 gram females that are being bred this year.
All are doing well. All are eating, shedding, pooping, and growing in size without issue. The male and female I have put together this year (twice so far) are locking up with no problems. Temps and humidity are easy to keep at correct levels. Everyone seems happy in them.

It is okay to use pine bedding for snakes.
It is okay to feed live food to snakes.

Re: rack size?
Yes, regardless of the size of your snakes I recommend going with 41qt tubs. You can always make an enclosure smaller from the inside, but you can't make it bigger from the outside once your animal outgrows the smaller cage.

Re: rack size?
would keeping them in 41qt tubs shock them since they are living in 4x2x15 size enclosures now. They seem to love the space and being able to climb. Is there a rack that I could build that was close to the size i have now?

The size difference shouldn't make a difference to them. They might even like it more.
41qts is the typical adult BP size rack enclosure.
But if you wanted to give them more room, you can try looking into small boa sized racks, which is a little larger.
And Freedom Breeder, while expensive, has nice sized rack tubs with viewing windows. I've always liked how they looked, but were a little to large for my personal liking. Maybe they would find your fancy.

Re: rack size?
I was thinking about using these http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?...llow&cId=PDIO1 the way that platinum morphs does and was wondering if you could use heat pads under the shelf or if heat tape would work with these? I liked the way he had his racks but am concerned about heating since my house is not insulated very well.

Check out the racks they have at www.cserpents.com they are great high quality racks at a very reasonable price they are my favorite racks. The racks at reptile basics are great too but they are just a bit more expensive, and I like to save as much money as I can without risking quality of course.

My adult females are all in 41qt tubs. They are plenty big.
