    Small BP baby

On Oct 13 I bought a black pastel BP. Quiet Skinny. I waited about 7 days til feeding and he wouldn't eat frozen thawed and I tried everything. At the moment all he will eat is mice. He ate his second mouse fuzzy yesterday within 4 days apart of his last feeding. The Fuzzy didn't even really leave a bulge in his belly. I tried feeding him another fuzzy today. He wanted nothing to do with it. While a fuzzy seems a good decent size,he's a pain when it comes to feeding. I tried a rat pinky yesterday before the mouse fuzzy and he layed next to it for 10 mins then slithered away.

my point is ,he is eating thnk god. But he's so small. Just weighed him @ 54 grams and he supposedly by today is about 6 weeks and that seems very small. He's maybe around 10-12 inches. Does this weight seem good. My other ghost ball is eating like a slob,FT,live ,rats mice, don't matter..he is starting thicken up. I want this black pastel to beef up,but thinking he may just wind up being a skinny snake. Guess as long as he is healthy,I'm happy

He does sound quite small. But if he's eating, I wouldn't worry too much. Some snakes are just slow starters.
Maybe in time his feeding response will be better. All of my black pastel gened stuff are monster eaters compared to my other snakes.

For switching, try putting both the rat and mouse together at the same time when feeding.

A tomorrow,I have the mouse fuzzy in a small tank with a rat fuzzy... But didn't think of putting them both in,I will try that, come feeding time. Thnk God I found a spot near me ,literally one mile away that has plenty of live feeders,Rats and mice, which was a blessing in disguise,lol..

hopgfully he he starts to pig out. I was thinking the same about Ghosts, that most I have heard are pigs as well. Hopefully that goes for my little guy as well. Thnx for the advice.
