Could be the angle, but maybe he is huge... Hmm you've sparked my curiosity. I'm gonna go weigh him, brb lol.

He's a solid 400g, so not overly large. I think it was just my mad photography skills

LOL, is he the biggest rat you own? Honestly I don't have a ton of rat experience, but he strikes me as huge, and he's also very pretty, love his colour.

Yeah I think he is, although I did have a bigger one, who is currently loving the ladies at another forum members home

With the parents both being Mink based (if they are both the same type of Mink, UK or US), the entire litter will be Mink based.

    1. Cinnamon (A/-mm)
    2. Rusty Mink (aamm)
    3. Silver Mink/Dark Phase Pearl (aammPepe)
    4. Mink based Buff Agouti (A/-mmrr) on the right, left I can't tell if it's Agouti based or not. But it looks like it to me, so..both look Mink based Buff Agouti or Fawn + Mink. It lightens the color of Fawn.
    5. I see Mink, Cinnamon and a RED Dilute that I can't tell if it's Agouti based or not. I'm assuming it is. So, Mink based Buff.
    6. Mink based Buff Agouti.
7 and 8. Silver Mink/Dark Phase Pearl (aammPepe)? Almost looks ticked on my screen, but I'm betting not. If he's ticked (Agouti based), he is going to be a Dark Phase Cinnamon Pearl, but I'm betting it's just rust. I'd need a better picture.
    9. Silver Mink/Dark Phase Pearl (aammPepe)
    10. Looks Cinnamon Pearl to me (A/-mmPepe).
    11. Cinnamon (A/-mm)
    12. Mink based Buff (aammrr) or could be Mink based Buff Agouti Pearl (depending on how she looks now). Pearl has a white/cream base coat and can make them look lighter until they molt a time or two.

Thank you! Right now I'm working on figuring out the genotypes on these guys... Not fun lol. My hairless girls definitely have the pearl gene. Here's one of their sons from a previous litter

Great pictures! I DEFINITELY want to trade some of my beige/fawn for some of your mink/pearl!!!
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

This makes me want more rats. We have a hairless dumbo rat, but she's getting grumpy in her senior years. She's our first hairless. I think I'd like a not hairless dumbo rat. They're just so cute.
