Feed small rat to my baby ball python

Ok so today i went to the petstore were i get my feeder and i asked for a large rat pup but the ones that they had were tiny and i didnt want to skip a meal so my only other choice was to get a small rat so i put the rat in to my bp tub she striked at it a couple time nd tried to coil but the rat got away but she eventually got him the rat was pretty darn strong it was pushin her while she had him coiled but now she has a huge bump on her stomach i know a small rat is way to big for her and too aggresive for her i wont be feeding small rats till she gets bigger but she ate it so tats good just thougght i would share this with u guys

I've been told the fattest/ girthiest part of the body is a way to measure the size to feed him..that's what I go buy and have no issues..

10-15% of their body weight is pretty normal when they are growing young like that.

If my only option is too big or too small id just give the smaller rat this week and go back to normal size the next feeding...
