    Courting signs/behavior for BCIs

Hey guys. I've been raising up my female boa for sometime now, and I decided to finally get a male to breed to her, and I've talked to people and read up on and everything I could find about breeding.
But I'm really confused on how to tell if they are interested in breeding.
I put him in the cage and he stayed on the shelf for a while then I woke up from a nap and found him coiled up in her coil..
I had to clean the cage cause someone went ad after putting them back she just layed on him and now het head is laying on his body next to his head.
What kind of behavior is this?
Do I need to remove him?
How do I know of they have done anything while I'm not looking?

    Thanks guys!

Will keeping him in there make them use to being together and not want to breed?
If so why do snakes "accidentally" become Gravid when a male and female are housed together buy owners that don't know they should be separated?

Didn't you just get the male this weekend? No quarantine?

Noooo. That's a completely different male. This one has been in my house for a few months I just haven't posted yet.
    It's my boy friends.
The boa I got this weekend is way to young for breeding.

Hmm. Well, how old are the male and female? I haven't bred boas, but I think they are different than balls. I don't know if there is anybody on here that breeds them. Evenstar is very knowledgeable though, and may be able to answer.

Ed at Constrictors NW has some good information. I would normally also point you to Gus Rentfro, but he unfortunately had to leave the hobby due to personal reasons recently and shut down his website. But Ed is extremely knowledgeable too.

    Re: Courting signs/behavior for BCIs

    Okay thank you.
I was planning on getting a male to breed to her at the expo, (I ended up get a male because I fell in love with him)
But I decided to use my boy friends snake who we har had for a while who is already grown, but its hard to notice the courting for me because I can't watch them 24/7 and i just thought I'd ask and see how much info I could get.
I want to be 100% confident with the signs and all.
    Thanks again for that link!
