My new BP just went happpily for a small F/T rat with no problem . Quite stoked that it was not an issue converting him to frozen or rats from his live mouse breeder

24 to 48 hours is the general rule of thumb.

this is his first feeding and he literally just devoured the first F/T rat I think he ever had .. ... is there a particular humidity or temp best suited for after a big meal ??

as long as the humidity is 50-60% and he has a warm side 88-92% he will be fine.

warm side 90% cool 78% .. humidity 60 - 70 % .. plants and vines with nothing but zoo med U.T.H. and infrared heating lamp for both day and night secondary heating and viewing.

sounds like everything is in order, just hope you have some sort of thermostat or dimmer for the UTH too many horror stories of snakes getting burned.

3" coconut husk is the only way I have been able to keep the humidity but also keeps him nice and distant from the U.T.H.

Get a thermostat ASAP. Snakes burrow, and BP's are no exception.
