    first timer here,

alright so my 1545g female has gone off feed as of last week, shed right before that, and has been hanging out on the cool side of her tub,

my issue is i have been stacking up females instead of having any males to throw her with, about how much time do i have to get one in there with her?

just incase it comes up, shes in a 6x 41 qt rack system rear heated.
i have a few friends around that would let me "borrow" their males for a little bit, in exchange for first pick on the clutch.

You have some time. She is not going to lay eggs tomorrow because she did not eat last week does not mean she is ready to lay. If you are not prepared for this I would give yourself another year to better prepare for what you are about to dive into.

The one thing you are going to learn in this hobby is patience. She just missed her first meal and shed just recently. She may take a meal at her next feeding who knows. Once you get a male you should quarantine him for at least 30-60 days even if he is at your friends house before introducing him into your collection. If you start QT today you are looking at your first introduction around 12/9. I start introducing my males around Thanksgiving so 12/9 is not too far off.

You will begin to introduce the male on a set schedule until the female ovulates which can take months. Once she ovulates you will no longer need to introduce the male. It is a very long process so you do have some time but I will start looking into getting a male situated soon.
