Hello everybody,
Well, tomorrow I will be obtaining another Ball Python. I am particularly interested in selecting a juvenile female as I want to have two breeding pairs - I have my year old male and female BPs Trinity and Apok and I have a single male Cypher. I am basically going to try to get Ol' Cyph a girlfriend. I am delving into the world of breeding BPs and I am not in a hurry to figure it all out. If I can be ready with four prime animals in good health a year from now ( or two ) I will attempt to breed. I realize that I have MUCH to learn about this but that is fine with me.
I have quite the small collection of snakes going these days but I am narrowing down most of my studying to Ball Pythons. These really are the about the best pythons around when it comes to manageability, size and temperment. I think that if we can get around to making some of the more exotic morphs available like Piebalds and Albinos that the popularity of the BP is going to go thru the roof. I would like to see where I might fit into all of this - if anywhere
I have really made great strides in the last year and a half and with help from all of you I have developed a real knack for working with Ball Pythons....I really luv um.....hehehehehe

Good luck on finding a female for Cypher! You do know that females generally need to be 3-4 years old to reach breeding size, right? If you get a juvie, she won't be ready to breed in the next couple of seasons for you. You might, though, be able to pick up an adult normal pretty inexpensively this time of year as most breeders wait til fall to put them together.
3.1.1 BP (Snyder, Hanover, Bo Peep, Sir NAITF, Eve), 1.2.3 Rhacodactylus ciliatus (Sandiego, Carmen, Scooby, Camo, BABIES ), 1.0 Chow (Buddha), 0.2 cats (Jezebel, PCBH "Nanners"), 0.3 humans
