Did I feed my ball too big of a mouse?

Today was MY first feeding of the Spider Ball Python I purchased a week ago. He is 81 grams and the mouse I fed him was a little over 30 grams... Now I know this seems large for him considering he should eat a 15 gram mouse, but the mouse was about the same thickness as the thickest part of his body maybe a little thicker, but that is the rule of thumb I usually use. He wasn't afraid of the mouse and struck it, coiled around and killed it easily and ate it in a timely manner. Was this mouse too big? If anything I think since it was twice the weight I should feed him should I just wait two weeks until my next feeding?

He is young and should eat just about anything to try and grow as quickly as he can.
    He should be fine.
Are you planning on a 3, 5 or 7 day schedule?

5 would be good though you might want to wait 6 or 7 for the next one.
Do you have a place to keep the mice if he doesn't eat it?
