It's most likely the rodents blood it could of busted partially when she hit it or just from constricting it. I wouldn't worry about it to be honest and if you are concerned about it being her tongue just watch her flick it out a few times and get a look at it.

I very strongly believe that it is not the rodents blood. Like I said, the rat only had a couple pin pricks of blood on it from where she bit and she did not drag the rat at all.

Did it just shed? If so it may be from the vent area. I would check it even if it has not recently shed.
It looks like all the blood spots are close to each other so if the vent is fine and the belly is fine I bet it was from the feeder. Just wait til you get one that pops its guys out during a feed.

This happens almost every time when I feed, and it's always the rodents blood. I don't see a lot of blood there. When the pressure builds after a constriction it's common for the rodent to bleed a little bit from it's nose and mouth. You may not have seen it but I almost always have blood on paper substrate after feeding.

That much blood though? Thats a lot of blood, and considering the fact that I didn't see any blood on the rat, its difficult for me to believe that it was all from the rat. Like I said, there was even blood on the cage windows (not pictured).

She shed about 2 weeks ago, but has eaten since then and there was no issue.

If you have a concern that the blood it was from you snake, and there is no visible wounds I wouldn't worry too much as it is most likely from the prey. If you still have concerns, make a trip to the vet to be on the safe side.

You can also wad up a bunch of paper towels for her to crawl thru and see if she is still oozing.

Yeah. I usually feed live, but when I'm up at school (like I am now) I have to feed f/t because there are no places availble to purchase live. She usually doesn't eat f/t but will when she's really hungry. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice and have to feed her f/t.
