I went through my First Aid Kit today just to make sure that all the medications in it werent expired and to replace some things i've used in the last couple of months. This got me wondering, how many of you keep a First Aid Kit near by where you keep your herps? I personally think its necessary incase of bites or any other accident that could potentially happen while handling, moving, or cleaning your snakes enclosures. Does anyone else keep a First Aid Kit nearby?

    New pics of CIRRUS

I don't have a first aid kit but I do have the bathroom with all of the first aid supplies in my room I have the bathroom in my room so I have everything ( hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, neosporin, band-aids, etc.) that I really need right there. I agree, I think first aid kits is a very important thing to have around.

    Switching to KILL mode

We have kits in each room except for our son's bedroom. Each one has different things in it, some of the same common found products in each kit are your basics such as alcohol, qtips, cotton balls, gauze, betadine, tongs, etc.
We also keep a stitching kit in the bathroom as my husband is more often then not way to stubborn to go to the hospital for deep cuts etc.

    A tarantula story......

Dont have a first aid kit, but between the bathroom and kitchen cabinets I have everything that a first aid kit would have.
We also keep a stitching kit in the bathroom as my husband is more often then not way to stubborn to go to the hospital for deep cuts etc.

Rusty...I use to sew myself up when I could reach the wound because I too hate going to hospitals. Luckily I havent had to do that for several years now.

....Tattooed people don't care if you're not tattooed.

For me, a first aid kit just seemed to go hand in hand with keeping reptiles. I should probably look at getting one more and do some more research into what would be good to keep in one in your herp area.
