Which one would you keep?
My pastel clutch (5 pastels, 2 normals) is all shed and half fed now, so I popped the two I was thinking about keeping - and if my popping is correct, it appears they are both girls. Yay!
So if you were to pick one of these, since I could really use ONE (not two) pastel girl in my collection, which would you choose? I love the insane blushing & contrast on #1, but #2 has a slightly more "clean" and reduced pattern. Oh, and #1 has an extremely feisty temperament - tagged me twice the other day, and then got so mad she started tagging her hide. It was kind of adorable.
Here's #1:

Now #2:

And side-by-side (#1 on left, #2 on right)
Lolo's Collection...
Ball Pythons: 0.4 Normals, 1.0 Pastel, 1.1 Mojaves, 1.0 Black Pastel, 2.0 Spiders, 0.1 Lesser, 1.0 Orange Ghost, 0.1 Honeybee
0.1 Spotted Python, 1.1 Stimson's Pythons, 1.0 Jungle Carpet Python
3.4 Corn Snakes, 1.1 Western Hognose Snakes, 1.2 cats, and 1.0 dog (47lb mutt)

Not like you're going to get rich off a 0.1 Pastel hatchling, so I would hold both for 6 months and see who eats better and holds their color.

Sounds like wise words to me.

Another advantage to holding both for a few months is you will get to know eating habits. One may end up being a garbage disposal while the other is hit or miss. At six months one could be twice the size of the other depending on eating habits.

LOL... I wasn't planning to get rich off these babies, just bred them for my own enjoyment.
But the problem is that I'm actually trying to REDUCE my collection, so I shouldn't even keep one let alone two. I'll consider what you & the others have said, though, and see if I can hold on to them for a little while. #1 took her first meal offering, btw, and I don't remember (without checking iHerp) if the other one did - I got 4/7 to eat on the first try.

I'd keep the one with the spot behind the head if everything else is equal

I vote you keep #1 for yourself, and mail me #2 Lol but I would def keep #2. Or do as others suggested and keep them for a bit and see how they grow.
