Shann and Figment saying hello, after almost three years of lurking!
So I've been on this site for ages now, but I've never really posted because I'm more of a boa person, not a ball python person. I do love them (the colors, omg), but have no interest in keeping them. I've been using this site for all of the other awesome resources though. I love how much experience there is around here. Finally posted today on a different thread though, so I figured I may as well make an introduction. Not sure how much I'll post, but I've been reading this site since before I picked up my boa in May, 2011. I absolutely adore snakes, and plan on getting more after I've completely spoiled Figment. I would just rather take it slow. I've seen way too many people just jump in to the hobby and end up with a dozen snakes before they finish their first year. I am in the process of setting up a new proline cage and Figment should be moved into that this weekend. She's a total sweetheart and I adore her.
So here she is!

Figment is the only reptile I have right now, but I've kept reptiles my whole life. I'm almost done with college at which point I'll look into maybe getting another one. In addition to her, I have two amazing ferrets and a wonderful cat.

Welcome...sort of, I guess I'm newer here than you lol, but I just talk more. Figment is so pretty, and you have awesome parents! My mom was always fine with snakes but she'd never dress one up in a little party hat for me! That's too cute!

Yeah I agree here to many people do this and end up not liking the hobby and get bored then the animals suffer. I waited over a year before I got any more and realized that after 15 years of keeping reptiles, Balls was one of my favorites.
Now I have 3 racks filled and 4 snakes that I have on payment plans till I get another big rack.
Also welcome to the site and nice boas!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. She's a really good animal. Normally she's pretty docile, great to interact with, and really interesting to watch.
My dad actually put together her party, and made her little hat. My mom hated snakes before I got Figment, and she loves her now.
I am trying to set up Figment's new cage but I can't get the temps right. The rhp has been running all night, and it just won't get the ambient temp above 75. Not sure what to do. Maybe I'll look around on this site
