Traveling with a BP
I'm going to be going to pick up my new baby pewter on Saturday, but it's a 1.5 hour drive home, and I was wondering how to transport her to make her comfortable and not cause any unneeded stress. She was hatched on August 6th, to give you an idea of age/size.

Re: Traveling with a BP
When we traveled from the Twin Cities back to home with the two snakes (yellowbelly and a spider) We had each of them in a snake bag and set them in a box on the floor. They were just fine for the trip and that was about 2 and a half hours. Oh if you are using AC dont have it blowing on the snakes.

The snake should be fine in a regular snake bag or deli cup for a couple of hours. Just don't let it be exposed to high temps (by leaving it in the car) or very low temperatures. If you are comfortable and the snake is with you, it should be OK until you get it home and put it in its proper enclosure. Good luck!

I don't actually have a snake bag, is there something else I could use from around the house that would be equivalent? Would a small round tupperware work instead of a deli cup?

Contact the breeder you are buying her from. ALL of my snakes leave my hands in a bag or deli cup. I believe a Tupperware would need an air hole or two...

Oh, I guess that makes sense, she knows that I'm travelling, and she said she has 40 some snakes, so I imagine she probably does have something to put them in. I guess I was trying to prepare, since the last BP I got was from a kid on a local classified who was going away to school, and I didn't bring anything, so he gave me a ziplock container and poked holes in it, but it was literally a 30 second drive home.
