    Odd Shed

I have a vanilla bp about 200g that shed for the first time for me. I've had her about a month. When I checked on her she was trapped inside her shed. I've never seen anything like this before. Her shed was 100% intact and her head was turned 180 degrees inside the shed like she was stuck inside a cocoon of her own skin.
I quickly ripped the shed off because I wasn't sure she could breath or if she was panicked. I now I was LOL.
All of her shed was off her body – nothing was still stuck to her body like a normal shed would be.

    Has anyone seen this before?

I've had something like this but not exactly. Was the snakes 2nd shed. I heard her wheezing and popping from the other room. She was 65 grams at the time. So I ran to her tub and noticed her full shed just loosely off her body. Was a horrible shed but she had some pieces off her. It's like she got a few pieces off then stopped and just went back into her hide and didn't try to get the rest off. The temps and humidity were correct so no idea what went wrong. The other snakes in the rack shed with no issues. But I just soaked her for a bit and let her rub around on a wet towel inside the bathtub and she finally got it all off. Not sure why it happened and hoping her next shed she gets it right. I have a pied going into her first shed with me right now and a little stressed how that's going to turn out. She was 60 grams when I got her and shes about 90 grams right now so hopefully all does well.

It was pretty scary for me since I didn't know if she was even alive when I found her like that. I will keep an even closer eye on her when she goes blue again. I'll have camera ready if it happens and get some pictures. It's hard to explain something like this. I think it's like you said, Cissin, she shed without knowing what to do about it and just sat there.
