Clear tub o not clear tub?

I have a rack with not clear tubs, but for the new rack i just made i was thinking about clear tubs. They let the light in, but you cant see anything through them in or out. My adults do fine in the not clear tubs, but I saw breeders using the other type. What do you think?

Its preference really of what you like in tubs. I have both clear and solid tubs, my picky eaters always go into blacked out tubs. This usually makes them feel more secure and 9/10 times breaks there picky eating habit for me.

My times are kind of clear, but they stay in a dark room so I don't have any problems.

    All preference...

I prefer clear, when scanning the room it's easy to notice a situation you may have to spot clean.

I like clear for my live feeders. It lets in enough light for me to keep an eye on things while only having it just open a crack, then they don't notice they're being spied on.

    Clear or not clear

I go snake by snake.. Some of my snakes are very sensitive to movement, so I keep some in non clear, and some love interacting with me, so I keep them in clear. It's better that way, imo, but it's all preference!

If my room light was always on or it was bright then I would go with opaque, but since they're in their own room and the light doesn't go on all the time it's kind of clear. It's easy to just glance in the tub as well, especially when feeding so I don't have to disturb them. Plus I have some aggressive feeders so it's nice to know where they're at.

I like the clear vision tubs. I think both clear and blacked out tubs have their own pros and cons. You just have to find the one that fulfill your needs in your rack system. I can imagine black out tubs to be more suited for picky feeders. But my snake room is dark the most of the time sooo... Good luck !
