    Shedding or RI?

I just recently took my ball python Salem to the vet to have his belly checked out for burns. It turned out there was actually a shed coming, and that's why his belly was so pink. But after I took him home from the vet, I noticed he made.. clicking noises. Upon researching these "clicking noises" I read that they tend to click when shedding, but they also tend to click when they have RI, which horrified me. So I checked his mouth for bubbles earlier today, and there was no bubbles. I gave him a vitamin E bath tonight though, and he was clicking again. I was frightened, so I checked his mouth again. This time I found very small bubbles, but there weren't very many of them. I just spent all my cash on taking him to the vet for his pink belly. What other signs should I check for? Should I wait until this shed is over to check again if there are any bubbles? He's not wheezing, he's not sitting with his mouth open, he just.. clicks. Mainly when he's being handled. Sometimes I hear a squeaky snort, I can't tell if its my snakes or my cats, but that's not even once a week and hasn't happened recently. I'd just like to know what I should be watching out for.

He's also been urinating a lot.

    Re: Shedding or RI?

I just had this same issue with my Bee. I woke up to check the rack and heard the same noises you heard. Scared the $$$$ out of me but I did some research and found out that a shed could cause the noises. When I pulled her out she had only shed a few pieces. I ended up soaking her and getting all the shed off. As soon as the shed from her head came off the noises stopped completely. It's most likely the shed that's coming loose from his nose. Check to see if he shed any pieces, if so maybe give him another soak and help get it all off. It's kind of like they have a stuffed nose, that shed is in the way and that's why it's making those noises.
