    Dealing With Hatch Lag

So, my first pipper on my first clutch was last Thursday. I've cut all the non-pipped eggs now. 2 have come out so far. When should I start to worry about the others not coming out?

That is a little weird. Typically they are all out within 1-3 days of the first one. Do the others look healthy? Can you see any deformities/kinks?

Well, one of the 2 that are out doesn't look like it's gonna make it. It's got some kinks and isn't behaving normal. One of the eggs is really smake with a really snake in it. I can't tell if there are any kinks or such in the others.

Wow! Not sure how I jacked that up so bad. Anyways, I meant to say, one of the eggs was really small with a small snake in it.

And no, no spikes. 88-89 the whole time. Had a small problem with humidity the first week or so but that was remedied.

Hahaha yeah, that makes a bit more sense. Any pics?

Well, this clutch is a fail. I decided to cut the eggs wide open. 2 were dead and deformed. The other was sort of living but didn't really have a dead. So bummed. So out of 9 seeming good eggs...

    3 were infertile
    1 went bad
    3 were not fully developed
1 had kinks and neuro issues. Likely to die.
1 good one although real tiny

That stinks but that does happen.....I had the same thing happen to my first clutch this year and had a similar problem last year. The more clutches you hatch the more likely you will start running into similar problems. Life isn't always perfect. Good Luck
