Newest member of the bite club

Well, a year and a half and 22 snakes later, I am officially a member of the bite club.

I'm on my way to the ER now. The blood loss is just too great

And the little devil herself, Sahara. This is the first time she refused a meal, so I went to retrieve the uneaten rat and she decided that human flesh is more pleasing than boring old dead rats...

Thank you She's a gorgeous little light normal.

Sadly, I lost the finger.... The damage was just too great. These animals are so vicious and are out for our blood - beware!!! These are cold-blooded killing machines!!

LOL, nice one. My little black pastel will bite if my hand goes in the tub while a rat is in there.

Aw, really, a year and 22 snakes? I've only had two biters, but one of them was Mr. Nibbles, my very first ball python. I was a biting pro after 3 months!

Re: Newest member of the bite club

I got bit by my largest BP, Shiva, a couple weeks ago. I normally would dangle the snakes of the tub/box with the live rats in it, as a way to ensure the snake wouldn't get bitten. I pulled Shiva up away from the rat box so as to reposition her for a better strike, she came up and bit the side of my hand, drawing a bit of blood - the evil, ungrateful witch. lol She immediately went back down to take a rat, and did within moments. I didn't require stitches, or amputation, this time thankfully. lol
