Posted on the boa forum but there's a Royal here!!!

It's been really hot an humid in the Twin Cities Metro. We've been stuck at 97-100 degrees with dew points in the mid 70's for the last week.

It seemed like snake weather so my son the snakes and I had a go at it on the grass.

The lawn service comes tomorrow so I figured some moist semi damp grass on a hot day MIGHT make for some decent pics. These are the first ever grass shots and the first time these 2 have been out together.

Royal is just over 2 years old and about 39" long at around 750-800 grams. Boa is just over a year old about 3' 9" and 835-860 grams.

    Have a looksy.

I love seeing the similarities and differences in the two different species.

Its hard to tell who's bigger but the Sniper (Boa) is larger than Hunter (Royal)

Despite the overhead and bright sun the colors of both came out better than I though with the grass background.

    Stay thirsty my friends!

Thanks Aaron! It's gotta be like your weather a bit here, only I imagine you get this all summer long.

Temps here are usually in the high 80's low 90's but the super high humidity (75%+) makes it feel 100+ most of the time. "Winter" down here is amazing though.

OK, Kinda too bad because a fair amount of boa folks don't visit the BP forum and vise versa and I've never been to the general herp forum.

What if I changed the words a bit and slipped in a different pic or two?? LOL.

    No worries.

Ha thanks. Looks like this didn't die on the vine. Perhaps there will be a few new lookers here in the general. I can always repost some of the other shots on the boa forum.

Thanks for the nice comment. I noticed my limited photography skills suffered even more when I tried to keep these two in the frame LOL!

I hang out in the general Herp section :p

A couple of great looking snakes. I love outdoor shots out in the grass but my yard sucks.

    Thanks for posting!

Beautiful pair of snakes you have there. I got my first Royal 2 weeks ago, she is around a year old and really nosey lol.
