Weird offspring from yellow belly x normal pairing

    Hey guys,

I was at a friends house yesterday to pick up an other ball python when he showed me his hatchlings from a yb x normal pairing. 4 out of 5 babies had a really busy pattern, very light colour and very faded heads. They don't have these yb speckling down their belly, but they do have a lot of blushing at their sides. The one male also hade bigger areas of black on his back which was very faded so he was really nice looking, but I didn't grab him since you can't get a girl too much. So I took the nicest one of the two females, she also seemed to be the lightest one too. So now is the question, what are they? The last baby in the clutch was a normal.. A very normal looking normal, but the other ones looks almost pastel-ish. Any input?

Here's some pics, she haven't had her first shed yet, but the pattern won't change after the shed. Just hoping the colour will stay.

Is she just a busy patterned normal, with light head and nice blushing?

All I'm seeing is a dirty pastel I don't see any yellowbelly in that.

That is odd, looks very yb "ish" but no head spot and no speckled belly.

I love the faded coloring though.

It sure do look like a pastel, but so much pattern...

I'll check with the person who hatched these, if he has had his pastel in with the female too.

Have checked with the breeder who checked his breeding-plan-papers, and he had mixed it up a little... It seems like the father of this clutch is an orange ghost, so this should be het OG... Any thoughts? Again really weird since it is 4 of these pastel-ish-looking babies and 1 normal-looking baby...

Just a wild thought and maybe I've been doing too much research on it recently but...
