    runny poo?

well my ball python pooped on my bed (that little {removed}, haha) and it was pretty soft and a bit runny. It also smelled REALLY bad. All of his other poops are solid logs, but I usually don't find them until they're at least a day old. So I don't know if its usually runny like that when it comes out? Is this something I should worry about?

Generally they reabsorb the liquid, if not then it comes out more runny. They can vary from not stinking to stinking horribly it just really all depends.

Just for ease of mind though what is your setup, temperature and humidity being my main point of focus? Also how long have you had him and where did you get him from?

I have him on a 20gal long aquarium with a screen lid. Aspen shavings for bedding. A heat lamp over the top. The warm side of the tank is usually about 85. There's almost always a damp towel over the top to help with humidity. I've had him since May when he was about 150 grams and I got him from a reputable breeder. He eats an adult mouse once a week with no problems and I see him drink out of his dish every once in awhile. He roams around his tank at night. Everything seems to be normal, but I'm keeping an eye on him.

    runny poo?

Bump up his warm side. It should be around 88-89. Are you only using a heat lamp for heat?

If nothing has changed, and he's eating the same and acting the same, I wouldn't be TOO concerned. I have had a ball or too have a mushy poo and then go back to being regular.

If you're really concerned, you could take a sample to the vet for testing.
