Also new to this forum

I have been stalking this forum for a few weeks while I did research on taking care of a ball python. I always loved reptiles and I have a California Kingsnake that I adore and love. He is the most docile snake I've ever had - especially from being picked up from San Bernardino off the ground to save him from motorcycles and other off-roading vehicles. However, my little kingsnake is in southern California with my father (as I could not take him with me on my move).

I always overthink things and have problems with anxiety, so even considering making this post stressed me out a lot. I've learned a lot within the few weeks that I've been reading up on all this information. Ball pythons are definitely more advanced to deal with than a california kingsnake, especially since I lived in the kingsnakes natural habitat anyway.

However, I just recently got my ball python, aptly named Monty (everyone hates me for naming him that ), and I have to say I absolutely love him, even if he's causing me a lot of worry over all the little things that can throw him out of whack.

I just wanted to make this post to introduce myself so that I can make future posts without worrying over if I'm going to be judged harshly for my silly starting mistakes that I'm hastily trying to fix and get everything sorted out so that Monty is the happiest little guy ever. I've only had him since Monday he has made me so happy just seeing him in his hide during the day with his puppy eyes that are staring at me while he sleeps.

Hi and welcome!! I am also new to the forum, and am very new to caring for Ball Pythons. I have been worried too, about people getting upset with me for not knowing what I am doing, but everyone here has been wonderful in guiding me and teaching me. Thanks to this site, we'll have very happy snakes in no time!
