    Large pythons

I'm looking to get a large snake. Are there any pythons that get over 10 feet long and heavy bodied like a Burmese?

    Re: Large pythons

There's the African rock python, the Indian python (not super common,) and if it doesn't *have* to be a python, anacondas.

May I ask why you want a large snake but specifically *not* a burmese?

    Re: Large pythons

Indian Python, Scrub Python/Amethystine Python, Green Anaconda, Reticulated Python are the ones that jump to mind.
Very few people keep African Rock Pythons and the Scrub/Amethystines might be hard to find as well.

Because burns retics scrub and anacondas are illegal in NY. I'm getting a bhp but they aren't heavy bodied.

    Large pythons

Try a female coastal carpet python. Some of them get over 10 feet.
