    Rats still good?

I've had a few rats in my freezer for well over two or maybe three months now because my girl wasn't big enough to eat them yet and it wasn't me who bought them. Well my girl is big enough now but I don't know if the rats would still be good or have the nutrition after so long. I'm also going on vacation for a month so a good friend of mine will be watching her along with my iguana. So I do plan on getting more regardless. Just wondering if the rats are still good. Thanks.

How are they packaged? Any pics? Depending on the package they can last a long time.

They're in plastic rolled up and stapled shut. Here are a couple pics

I know that properly sealed pinkies and fuzzies can last 6 months before they start getting freezer burned. I also know people that have fed some that had a bit of spots on them without no ill affects.

From what I gather with reading as I researched this topic a few years back, stuff with hair can go up to a year before getting freezer burned. That's just what I've found but I haven't tested it yet so I don't know for sure.

I always keep 6 months of rodents in the freezer. If not exposed to air in the freezer, they should last a year.

I think you will be fine using them. As long as they are packaged right.
