soldering THG heat tape ?
Can i solder the new THG heat tape on the side with the copper strips? Reptile basics instructions shows doing so on the opposit side, what i guess would be considered on the bottom. Anybody have any insight on this?

Re: soldering THG heat tape ?
I personally soldered mine on the copper side and it works perfectly.

We do recommend soldering from the non-copper visible side, you get real nice separation from the bus bar from the "dark side".

Yes, if you look at the soldering instructions, when you cut from the non-copper colored side, you still access the copper buss bar directly, but the laminate comes off cleanly.

Ok. Thanks guys. Now what do you mean when you say "cut"? Is there a prefered way to remove the laminate and expose the copper?
