this might be a dumb question.. but...
Our eggs are at day 47.. and we are getting very antsy the closer they get! I do have a (probably dumb) question.. the eggs were laid so that one is a good bit underneath another one. How is that little baby gonna get out.. lol..? Will it find a spot to get out or will we have to help it?

They seem to find a way. I've had eggs partially (even mostly) covered by other eggs and the babies come out fine. Do you have any pics?

You can see there are actually 2 partially under the very top one. This was taken a few days ago..

There are only 7 eggs there, correct? Just want to make sure I'm not missing one. If so, yeah, they'll be perfectly fine making their way out from there. No worries.
Congrats and good luck with the babies!

I've actually had a bottom egg pip into an egg above it before the top egg pipped. When the one on the bottom finally found a spot that was free and clear there was SO MUCH embryonic fluid. Had no idea what was going on. But after they all pipped and made it out I investigated and found out that it had made a nice slice into the top egg. Didn't hurt any of the baby snakes and the female stingerbee out of the bottom egg is sitting nice and comfy almost at breeding size currently. You'll be fine, life always finds a way. Just let em do their thing and everything will be A-OK.

Agreed, it will pip fine. Sometimes when they get close to hatching they'll separate easily and you can just peel that top egg off and set it to the side. Gently though.
Good luck!
