opinions, thinking about breeding
ok so i have a pastel female who is still a baby (about 75 grams) obviously no where breeding size but i plan to get my second ball next month i was just curious of others opinions about a male. should i get another baby and and raise them up together or just worry about one and get a more mature male ? i know i wouldnt be able to breed for a while but im finally understanding the addiction now lol

I would wait about a year and then get your male. But if you need your fix now, maybe get another female?

I agree with moot worm.
Males are considerably cheeper than females. I would buy another codom female baby and raise them together. When you're ready to breed pick up a double gene PB male. A baby male spinner will cost you about $350, a proven breeder male spinner will cost you about $300. A baby female pastel will cost you about $150. A PB female pastel will cost you between 500-600.

Re: opinions, thinking about breeding
Now you're thinking/planning. Get a female butter now and in a year or two get a young mojave male. They're also in the 150$ range for hatchlings. That way your male will likely be younger but ready to breed around the same time as your females. That's a plan.

Yeah, pick a really cool female to grow with the other one. Buy the male when you're just about to breed.
There's a smorgasbord of morph female babies that you could choose from to make some great combos. And who knows what males will be available when they're grown and ready. Yellowbelly complexes make some great things. Blue Eyed Lucy complex has a lot of options, too. Then there are the pattern morphs, like pinstripes and spiders. Then there's the idea of going for a super. Like a super fire, or super disco, super yellowbelly (ivory), super orange dream, super paint, super mojave, and so on...so on...so on... Maybe look at one of those that pairs well with pastel (almost all morphs pair well with pastel), and consider going for a super.
Welcome to the addiction, and happy herping!
