    Champagne Morph Questions

    Hey everyone,

In a couple of months (November?) I'm thinking of picking up a champagne male. This leaves me with a few questions: How much does a hatchling run on average? Is the price affected by the amount of pattern on the champagne? (I know some breeders charge more for more white on a pie and so I'm curious if it runs like that). Do they have a genetic trait linked to them? Like the spider(?) having head wobble issues? Is there anything specific I should know about them? Thanks guys!!

    Re: Champagne Morph Questions

Champagnes are mostly the same price for the different shades. It's preference just like high white low white on spiders, its a option but usually not at a cost.

How ever there are champagnes that throw rings ( white bands) aka ringers. They can get up there in price depending on how big the ring is where it's at, is all factored into price.

they have a wobble, but its not too bad, like the spider gene. maybe others can tell if its exactly like with spider, or better? i dont think its worse than spider, my bet is that its either the same, or that champagne has less wobble than spider.

    check this out:

basically the very simple rule is: dont combine it with any other gene that has the wobble and dont go for supers.

Works for me, if in the future I decide to breed, I definitely won't go for a future champagne. I think I want to breed down the line, but not for a few years. Even so, the only female I have right now is female so that should be safe enough. Good to know about the wobble, I'll make sure to keep that in mind! I can say, I don't think I'll be able to afford a ringer so that's out!

Do you guys think I could pick one up for under $500 or? I don't know the right price for this morph, some say I can snag one for $350, some tell me $800? I'd love to keep it around $400-$450, but for the right champagne, I could suck it up and spend a bit more. Thanks!
