What to put with a candy cane?

I got into ball pythons by complete accident. I went to my second expo with the plans of bringing home a 1.1 candy cane pair, but all they had where the higher end corns that I wasn't interested in. Instead I came home with a pastel male who was going to just be a pet…haha.

Anyways, I still plan on getting at least one candy cane, but I was wondering what morphs could I pair with it that would produce interesting babies? Not really looking for what will produce the most expensive babies, just the most interesting ones. I love reverse oketees, but from what I understand that wouldn't produce anything but amels?

Well, a candycane cornsnake is just an amel that has been selectively bred to not express any orange. What is your budget like? Teserras are cool dominant morphs but they are still pricy. You could get a normal teserra het amel or a amel tesseras. If you want to keep the pattern clean like in a candycorn and don't really want to pay an arm and a leg, I would buy a miami phase normal that's het for amel. You can always get ANY morph het amel. All the babies would be amels and normals het for whatever morph the other parent is.

I'd go with another candycane. Candycanes crossed to normal amels tend to make babies that are very washed out/bland in color. A good candycane is a rarity and worth continuing.
