    Is the acu right safe for egg box??

    I bought a wireless thermometer and was wondering if this is safe to put into the egg box?? Thanks!

    I personally wouldn't use it. Egg tubs are very humid and that can mess up the sensors and the batteries. but that's really just my opinion...I don't have any evidence to back it up. Something about a battery operated thermometer in an egg box just sounds bad.

    However...I think you could keep it in the actual incubator to monitor the ambient temp in there. I would just buy a probed thermometer for the actual egg box.

    I've seen some of these probed Acu Right thermometers that are used for the egg boxes and have heard good things. Just make sure the main unit stays away from high humidity as I've personally had some go bad on other models that were over exposed. Just use caution when choosing the right model.
