Ok, I'm a newb but seriously...starting to worry

I've had my boy Cheddar for about a month now, he's got a few good feedings in him and I swear, he has not pooped or peed/urate since I've gotten him. He also lives on his cold side, I 'guide' him into his hot side hide and he slithers his happy ass right back out, whereas my Girl does a great job of thermo-regulating... I did a thorough temp check to make sure I wasn't getting inaccurate temp readings.

Is he just weird or am I missing something?

Of course... Identical ones that he fits in nicely but aren't over sized. He eats fine <after a switch to live> and drinks like a champ. Love watching him.

I can't help but wonder if his lack of pooping etc could be that he isn't warming himself for proper digestion?

Assuming temps are correct and husbandry isn't the issue I honestly wouldn't worry. Your snake will pass when it's ready, usually during shed cycle.

Is it possible that he may have gone but you missed it? I've noticed with aspen that urates can blend in and get lost in the substrate if you aren't careful. Not sure what you're using, but just throwing that out there.

Unless there's a reason why he would prefer one hide over the other (size difference, closer to water, larger/smaller opening, enclosure close to loud areas, improper temp/humidity, etc), or if he's showing any signs of poor health, I wouldn't worry about it.

They can take care of themselves, and are perfectly capable of finding a warm spot without a guide whenever they feel like it

No, I use repti bark and Eco earth as my substrate so it would be hard to miss.

How big is he? How often do you feed him?

It is possible that he spends time in his hot spot while you are asleep. Does he appear to have any sausage butt? If he looks fine and isn't bloated or "deformed" then I'm sure he will drop a deuce sometime soon. I bet there will be a nice pile after he sheds, if he hasn't recently.

I would t worry too much, my boy Joey only goes around and usually with e dry shed, he stays in his hot hide, my girl Samantha stays mainly in her cool unless its close to feeding day, and she goes about every two weeks, if everything temp and cage wise is good then alls normal!

Yes, look if stuff is accumulating in the body, above the vent. Is it turning hard anywhere when you handle the snake? or are there visual changes in shape?

Also there is a decrease in volume as rhodents get digested. Bone gets completely dissolved and digested. They do not necessarily poop as often as they eat.

Just watch out for visual changes or hardness in the lower third of the body. Anything unusual there?

Well I think others have summed it up pretty well, but as they said, as long as he doesn't show poor health I wouldn't worry too much. Two of of mine, Cleo and Jackson, both have a tendency to stay cool for whatever reason, and I have another one, Ace, who only ever seems to poop around shedding time. I think some of them just have their quirks. And as has also been mentioned, if he wants to get warm he can get there so long as there is a heat source. Even my hot natured ones will find the heated end once in a while, when they need it.
