18 days left... have a question!

.. and we're getting excited. Some of the eggs have started to dimple slightly, but they all look great and are candling great! Just have a quick question.. i know that towards the end they need more air exchange.. (right?) We have them in a shoebox tote with a lid, no press and seal. Should we drill holes in the lid for more ventilation or take the lid off completely? Of course, i'm talking around a week before hatch date, not now.
on another note.. we tried to candle for pattern... i don't know how exactly that's done.. so no luck there! But, there were some wiggly ones.. it still amazes me to see them move in the egg.

I vent mine 14 to 10 days out when I think they will pip. I have lids with one or two small air holes in them. you don't want to take the lid off all together as you will lose too much humidity.

looking for pattern is hard to do. what was the pairing?

around day 35 you candle them and the albinos eggs will grow pink ( pretty much the whole egg will be pink). the hets will be white with the bottom being dark. might still be able to tell.
