    Question Blue-eyed Lucys

    Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to the world of Ball Pythons and had a question about breeding Blue-eyed Leucistics. I know that they can result from the breeding of several types but I'm interested in the breeding of 2 Lessers vs 2 Mojaves. I've heard that a Lucy with Lesser parents will have a whiter head and body when compared to one bred from Mojaves. Is this true? if so, how big is the difference? Also, do they have the same odds of producing a Lucy? (I believe that the Mojaves have a 25% chance?). Any help is appreciated!

This will tell you everything you need to know about odds.

I believe you can also go with Mojave to Lesser or Butter (which is essentially a different line of the same gene).

Super Lesser are whiter then Super Mojave

    Super Lesser

    Super Mojave

Now if you want a white snake but think that Super Mojave are too dirty, I would recommend a Lesser X Mojave instead of a Super Lesser

Why exactly do you recommend "Lesser X Mojave" instead of a Super Lesser? Is it whiter than a super lesser or less expensive?

Lesser to Lesser is more likely to throw bug-eyed babies.
You have to ask someone with more knowledge if it also applies to the Butter line.

Yes it does to butters too. lesser X lesser, lesser X butter, or butter X butter can produce bug eyes.

Go Mojave X lesser. Still clean, no bug eyes.

    read this thread:

    http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...-Lucy-question

also, i say dont do super lesser, super butter, or butter lesser.

There are so many different ways to make very white BELs while avoiding the eye-issue. Lesser mojave would be the obvious choice.
