Sad day today but happy ending.

So after thinking about possibly breeding ball pythons I had to make a big decision to get rid of my other animals to make room for what I really want. After having my mojave male for a while, it really made me decide that I am going to limit myself to just ball pythons. My sister breeds cresties so I ended up giving my little girl to her also with my pacman frog. And I also gave away my 6 year old striped Cali king who loves to bite and musk to a home that will put a lot more time into taming him. They also took my 8 year old Okeetee corn from me. So now i can dedicate my spare room to breeding ball pythons and heating the room for a single species to utilize rack systems.

The good news is I bought a baby bumblebee ball python today for my 2nd ball python. And in a few months I will be looking into a 3rd morph and start shopping for a rack after quarintine. I am very excited and I will post pictures of my new bumblee when he comes in next week.

Sad day indeed. Ultimately I think you did what you knew to be right by all the animals involved though and that's awesome! I look forward to any developments in your future breeding/collecting plans

I agree. I recently made the choice to give up my fairly newly acquired beardie, because I realized she just didn't fit my plans. I'd much rather her be in a home where she is appreciated and given more one on one. And she will be, very soon! I'll be focusing solely on snakes and crested geckos from now on.

I think you're doing a good thing. This is what being in the hobby is all about: finding your passion, and refining.

Thank you. It makes me feel a little better since I felt bad about giving them up. Now the ball python addiction starts!

I know exactly how this feels, don't worry. I think you're right, it is a sad day but will have a happy ending. Good luck!
